Before /if i take the plunge with windows 8.......

I have an all-in-one touchscreen VPCL13M1E running Win 7 and a bought Win 8 Pro cd.

Because the touchscreen will be important to me if I go to Win 8, will my PC be fully capable of delivering ?

What i'm trying to ask is have touchscreens developed much since my PC was released ? or should I wait till I get a newer computer ?

Hi tonynetsurfer and welcome.

Sony do not support an upgrade to Windows 8 for your model so there are no drivers available.

It seems to be possible to install Windows 8 TouchScreen drivers from a more recent Vaio model but I doubt if you will get everything to work properly.

All things considered, my computer is working great, i like Win 7, so why tempt fate and change for the sake of it? I think I will wait until I replace my PC.
