Almost white Vaio L22Z1E screen

I have had a Vaio L22Z1E 24 inch all-in-one since the start of the year. The screen has suddenly started going very bright white (although you can just about make out the faded picture). It is almost as if the brightness has been turned up past the max. Sometimes it will just fix itself, and sometimes it needs to be rebooted once or twice.

Any ideas what might be happening.

Hi Daryl2012,

This could be as simple as a cabling problem or at worst a defective monitor or motherboard.

As you say you have had this Vaio since the start of this year I assume that it is still within the warranty period so you need to contact Support for an investigation and repair.

There isnt any cable - its an all in one Doh!!!

I have the same problem

I see no answer from Sony as they clealry dont care

I wonder what is the point of this site?

There is cabling – what do you think connects the monitor to the motherboard Doh!!
