Bluetooth not working

Hi!

I have a VGN-FE41M. After installing the new updated driver from SONY support website, the Bluetooth device doesnt work at all. I tried to uninstall it and re-install the old driver, but during installation, I receive the same message "Connect the Bluetooth Device" then setup ends and the driver is not installed. It's too late for a system restore. Any ideas?

hi i am sorry to hear this as it is a lovely laptop (my mum has one) why do you say it is to late for a system restore ?

Hi LittleBucko,

Yeah it is a very nice laptop, but since I bought it I am facing may problems with the webcam and the bluetooth device.

I installed many applications and drivers since this update, and I am not sure where the system restore will go.

I think there should be a more practical solution for this. Don't you think?

im afraid i have no suggestions i can think of other than; if you find bluetooth a crucial feature, and am unable to solve the problem, perhaps buying a bluetooth dongle could be a good idea. I bought one for my laptop (vgn-fs415s) which did not have inbuilt bluetooth, though is a fairly similar spec model to yours, and with the dongle i have had no problems and have up to a 100m range.
