Camera works again, but it's a real mystery (a quite concerning one) how my computer could download and install an camera-update without my permission and knowledge (I just knew cause I caught it in the act and saw something was going on...). Anyway, I hope it does not happen again.

Just for the record: when opening My Computer, my camera is named "Sony Visual Communication Camera VGP-VCC1", after the mysterious update it was called "Sony Visual Communication Camera VGP-VCC1 #2"

Don't know what the #2 stands for, but it was evil

Hi guys,

I've got a FE31H. My camera worked just fine til this morning when my computer somehow installed something all on it's own :S I saw something was going on in the task bar and I've got some sort of message saying my camera been updated or whatever. I really don't understand

But, now my camera won't work properly. When opening via My Computer the camera screen is smaller and dizzy and the photos I shoot get extremely small with extremely low resolution, you can barely see what you've shot.

I don't have a C:/utility folder as Vaio-Link says you should, but I downloaded the preinstalled utilities and re-installed the camera. But that did not work.

What the he** happened?!? And how do I get the camera to work properly again?

Thx! /xphiler
