Bluetooth and microphone problems

I have 2 Questions:

1)Does any one know how 2 turn on the bluetooth function on a Sony Vaio VGN-C1S? According to a lot of sources I should go to Start-->Settings-->Control Panel--> Blue tooth

But the Blue tooth option doesnt appear in my control panel. I also downloaded the newest updates..

2) How can you turn on the microphone? In the sound panel I have turn on the microphone option but this lead to a VERY annoying sound...

Hi Hongetje and welcome to Club Vaio.

Have a look at the specifications of your Vaio - I am fairly sure the VGN-C1S Vaios do not have a Bluetooth radio included. Only the VGN-C1Z model has bluetooth. I think you will need an external USB Dongle.

What sound are you getting with the microphone turned on? Is there an option in Control Panel -> Sound Reality to increase the AISO latency/buffer size?

Thanks for the quick reply. I really appreciate that.

The box of my notebook says Sony VGN-C2S/H but on my noteboos it says: VGN-C1S. So I am a little bite confuse now.

The Sony VGN-C2S/H has a Integrated Bluetooth. But strangely I can't find any thing in the control panel. You said something about check the specifications. Where can I find this? I have looked in the 'device manager' and there i can't find anything about Bluetooth..

Hi Hongetje,

The C2S has bluetooth but the C1S does not.

To check, turn ON the wireless switch.
Double-click the wireless LAN icon in the Taskbar
Ther should be an option to enable the Bluetooth if you have it.
