SZ5 Need help (Xp drivers)

Hi,

3 weeks ago i got an VGN-SZ5XN/C vaio, it came with Vista Business preinstalled, there is one big problem though, the company i work for will not upgrade their servers to be compatible with Vista anytime soon

So i had to install XP, did all the work made it dual boot Vista and XP, the issue at the moment is drivers, the preinstalled drivers and most of the util. although when you check their info they say Windows NT compatible, Sony seems to hardcoded to be only installable on Vista

I have found 3 of the most importand drivers to make the laptop run in XP, but still i have quite a lot missing

I know Sony will not support me on this matter but i really need XP

If anybody can help with info on where can i get drivers, or even better what is in the laptop(that way i can find the drivers my self)

Hi grash2 and welcome to Club Vaio.

As you have found out there are no XP drivers for your model.

The closest set of XP Drivers and Utilities will be those for the SZ3-Series and you can download the Original Drivers and the Original Utilities from Vaio-Link SX3 Downloads

I'm sure you will find the drivers you need there.

Edit: The drivers of SZ3 worked fine, took whatever i was able from the vista SZ5 drivers( chipset) the rest from SZ3
