Redistributing it, selling it to terrorists, claiming it as your own, are all prohibited by 'copyright law'.

This is the problem with DRM; in the dash to secure 10% of the content, they block you from the other 90%.

One option would be to feed a cable from your sound out, into your sound in, and record that (althought clearly you'll get degradation as you go digital to analogue back to digital).

Ultimately, though, DRM is pointless and doomed because of software like TotalCommander (http://www.highcriteria.com/) which will record from the sound card.

Matt, i'm slapping the back of your hand for spreading misinformation. Copyright is chronically abused these days, so to throw your arms in the air and presume guilt is wrong. Copyright abuse is Disney making a fortune by *copying* Victor Hugo's (now) public domain novels, then suing children they suspect may have downloaded a single copy.

The BBC supply the service to listen to the shows recorded during the day or even week but they do not need to be recorded and that is the reason that they are streamed as opposed to creating a file that you can download.

This is due to stereo mix being disabled by our friends at Microsoft. Shame they can't actually see past their piracy-obsessiveness and see that this can be used for legitimate reasons, like mixdowns for legal recordings, and for bumping tracks.

If Microsoft treated it's customers with dignity then maybe they would earn some themselves. Give respect to get respect.
