When you change the installed OEM Operating System, Vaio Update will no longer work and you will have to search for updates manually.  Vaio Update looks at your model type to see if there are updates for the original system - if you are not using that original system it can't tell what you need anymore.  Ultimate is not supported by Sony on your Vaio and they have not tested anything at all with Ultimate.  As you no longer have a Sony OEM operating system, your Vaio is not being recognised as a Vaio.       <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have just purchased an AR41M and have registered it sucessfully.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;However, when I try to run VAIO Update, I get the error message "Your model information could not be found on the server. Please try again later. (MessageID=0008)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have been trying all evening / night with no success.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;HELP!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

("Your model information could not be found on the server. Please try again later. (MessageID=0008).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;When I try to install for example WinDVD BD for Vaio, the instalation wizard give the allert "Your maschine is not the sony VAIO"&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Wher is the problem ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
