Drivers for windows XP?

I just purchased a VGN-N29VN/B and I hate VISTA due to the lack of programs that support it. All my fav. programs (I'm a programmer) have issues with vista. I installed XP today but I can't find the drivers for it....any help?

Hi manilodisan and welcome to Club Vaio.

As Sony will only support Vista on your Vaio there are no XP Drivers yet for your model.

Check here: -

to see if the drivers have been released.

Most people wishing to use XP have had success by downloading the Original XP Drivers and the Original XP Utilities for the VGN-N11S/W and installing these. Apart from the processor the hardware looks the same - except the N11-Series was released with XP as the Operating System.

Thanks Blencogo. Just how the f... can they release a laptop with no support for XP? When there are a million programs out there that have compatibility issues with this new OS... How can you release it with 1gb of RAM when vista only needs 60% of it for background processes? When you try a simple file copy and it fails due to the lack of memory? I'm out of words...good job SONY.
