flash cmos?????

hello there i was wondering if you could tell me how flash my cmos, if that is possible? or to take the battery out?
I want to wipe clean the hard drive and cmos to start afresh as im having a few problems.
Computer is running really slow and i think the kids have downloaded something that keeps the computer busy all the time hense it running really slow.
I have a PCG-FR315B thank you for your help........

What sort of problems are you having.?

You should be able to rest your Bios by following the steps below..

# Start or restart your VAIO.
# When you see the Sony logo, press F2 repeatedly to enter the BIOS.
# Once in the BIOS, insert the first recovery CD in the CD-ROM drive.
# Press F9 to restore the default values (F5 on VAIO desktops).
# When asked to confirm, press ENTER.
# Press F10 to save the configuration and exit the BIOS.
# When asked to confirm, press ENTER again.

I'm not sure but did your Vaio come with recovery disc's.?

If so the THIS GUIDE should help you recover your Vaio back to the original OS and pre-installed applications..

Be sure to back-up important data first..
