need a spare part for an FR415S model

Dear Forum,

I have a problem with an old VAIO and am having trouble finding the part. It's the left button of the touchpad of a VAIO FR415S.

Are there any people that specialise in parts for SONY VAIOs that are reliable and can post to any part of the world (Middle East in particular)?

I am having difficulty in finding authorised SONY dealers who deal online with laptop parts so any information on this would be extremely useful.

Hi Maz and welcome.

The US is about the only place and NextTronics will ship worldwide.

I would email them to check the part - it looks to me like you will have to buy the whole touchpad assembly.

Thanks for the advice.

Unfortunatley, I have emailed them twice in the last 4 or 5 days and they have not bothered to reply. I will not be using their services again if this is how they treat their future customers.

However, I have found a potential supplier in Dubai and will more than likely use them. They appear to know how to treat their customers.
