Hi,

I have sony VGN N 31S/W notebook. I want to install windows xp on my notebook. Can I install windows xp on this model. and from where i can have drivers for windows xp for this model.

I have the same laptop as you and wanted to try and change to XP.
Having searched I found this thread on another Sony forum:

Not quite the same model - Z rather than S but I think for drivers they are the same.
Not tried them yet though!

Hi Nadeem

1- Yes you can install windows xp with N series I have also N series laptop and I have install windows XP yesterday, also you can get all drivers from the link below. You will need the Drivers and Utilities for the VGN-N11 Series of Vaios that were made with XP installed.

2- All the N38 series can use the N11 XP Drivers.

The only main difference with the N38 Vaios (N38E, N38L, N38M, N38Z) is the processor and amount of memory installed - these do not have seperate drivers.
