It is likely that a repair will be needed.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;However try this - it has been known to work: -&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;1. Disconnect the AC adapter from the VAIO. &lt;BR /&gt;2. Remove the battery. &lt;BR /&gt;3. Unplug all external devices (mouse, printer, scanner, portable CD-ROM drive, ...) &lt;BR /&gt;4. Hold the power button down for 30 seconds.&lt;BR /&gt;5. Connect your AC adapter to the mains and to your VAIO. &lt;BR /&gt;6. Use the power button to turn on your VAIO.       <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi can anyone please help, ive had my laptop under 2 years and now when I press the power button,  the power and battery lights light up and stay lit but thats it! nothing else? is this a problem anyone else has had? I proper gutted about this, ive tried to email Sony but still waiting on a reply. &lt;BR /&gt;Any help greatly appreciated. the model number is VGN-SZ1HP/B&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
