Hi all,
I hope someone can help. My one and half year old vaio is acting up, when i select cd/dvd in my computer a message comes up saying ' f drive is not accessible' windows media player doesn't recognize a cd is in the drive if i open F from my comp it opens but when i insert it still doesn't recognise any thing. Thanks in advance. Steve

Hi Stevie,

Go to Device manager do you have a warning symbols or error codes next to your CD/DVD drive.?

well ive uninstalled the cd/dvd drive and rebooted and still the same thing,i'd be most grateful if you could advise me on how to recover without losing everything on the c/drive can i move everything to d/ drive in one operation for instance?,i'm not an expert.I could do with a fresh start as i have a cursor problem that i posted here but with no solution.And it's quite annoying. Thanks Steve
