Upgrading my laptop CPU

I have a Vaio PCG-K415B running an Intel Celeron D 345 3.06GHz.

I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade this to a Pentium 4 2.8GHz 533FSB (as far as I know this is a better chip), and if anyone has done similar are there any known issues with the extra heat etc?

I was also looking to upgrade the Ram, but from what I have seen Sony only recommend going to 2x512MB sticks, is there any issue with using 2x 1GB sticks??

if your model can take 2x1gb sticks do it as it will make it run things faster
as for the cpu leave it how it is as the main board is made for the cpu already installed
and as for the other chip it is not as powerfull

Re the memory, I want to know if anyone can tell me if the motherboard will support 2x1GB sticks, as Sony only recommend 2x512MB (but quite often a recommendation like this is not true in a real world scenario). I am aware that if I add more RAM that things will run faster, hence my asking the question.

Re the CPU, the motherboard is not designed for a certain CPU, it is designed for many different CPU's. Again the reason I was asking was to see if anyone actually knows whether the motherboard can handle this CPU as it is the correct pin configuration and also the correct FSB speed.

Also a Pentium 4 2.8GHz chip is faster than a Celeron 3.06GHz chip, as shown in many benchmark tests.
