Vaio VGN-NS20E battery fault

I am the proud new owner of a Vaio VGN-NS20E. I do howver have one annoyance. It seems that no matter how long i have the laptop charging, the battery never seems to vharge above 80% and it seems that the forcast that tells you how much time is remaining is not very accurate. Is this a knoen fault with this model or do i just have a faulty battery.

Any sugestions will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Mark,

welcome to Club VAIO..

You Vaio model has a Battery Care Function this usually stops charging at approximately 80%..

You change the settings of the Battery Care Function by going to Start, then clicking on VAIO Control Center, followed by System Information, then VAIO Status Monitor, then Power/Performance Settings finally Battery Care Function..
