Hi,

I have a FZ18M and had it for quite a while.

I want to update the HD now to a Western Digital Scorpio Blue WD5000BEVT 500GB 2.5" and I just wanted to check that this was cool? I know I have a Seagate at the moment but will buying a different brand cause a problem?

Thanks
Lee

That should be OK Lee. Physical size looks OK.

The only thing you need to consider is power consumption. The FZ-Series run very hot and the last thing you need is more heat. Check the power consumption when reading/writing and just make sure there is not a big increase.
