Vaio does not boot

Hi ,

I have a sony vaio (VGN-FS215E) and since yesterday it does not start at all.

The only thing that happens is that the 3 green lights stay on and the screen remains blank.
I can hear the HDD and also the fan, but I wonder what the three burning green LED's mean.

Can anyone help me

Hi rick8245,

welcome to Club VAIO..

To eliminate the screen being the problem try connecting your Vaio to an external monitor, do you still have the same problem.?

Are you able to enter the BIOS.?

To enter the BIOS restart your Vaio and when you see the Vaio logo press the F2 key repeatedly..

To exit the BIOS press F9 to reset the BIOS to default and press F10 to save and exit..

Thank for the quick reply.
Unfortunately an external monitor does not bring any color.
The screen remains black.

I also cannot enter the BIOS via F2.
The only thing that happens is that the 3 led's keep on burning I can hear the fan
and the disk.

Any ideas anyone ??
