I have just upgraded to Win7 Home Premium 32 on a Sony Vaio laptop (VGN-SZ61WN).

Previously I was running Vista Business. I was happily using an LG1512s monitor plugged through the Vaio docking station.

Post the Win7 install, my laptop does not recognise the external monitor.

I have gone on to the Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Display\Screen Resolution and the multiple screen dialogue does not appear.

I have with NO success:

· Clicked “detect” in the Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Display\Screen Resolution
· Clicked the F7 monitor on/off button.
· plugged the monitor directly into the Vaio (i.e. not through the docking station)
· Used Windows-X and tried to use the mobility centre to connect the external monitor.
Meanwhile I have plugged the monitor into another laptop I use that is running Vista Home and the monitor lights up so I know the monitor and the cables are ok.

The problem is that Win7 is not seeing the external monitor.

Any ideas?
