Hi All,

I am having trouble trying to play a game on my VGC-V3M. It intalled the game, but wont load the game.

I contacted EA Sports and was told it was something to do with the NVIDIA Geforce FXGo5700 driver and it needing to be upgraded.

I have tried to update the drivers but it's still not working. Could anybody help please.

The only way around this is the omega drivers, from omegadrivers.net

But the thing is Sony don't support them, so if something does go wrong they won't help you or replace hardware

Is there no way to update this through sony? I am not too inpressed with a computer that cost over a grand and can't play basic games!

I went to nvidia and removed the current drivers and it still didn't work, now i have black arears either side of my screen and don't know how to undo what i did.

Kee-Lo: Do OmegaDrivers do nVidia drivers? I thought it was just ATi drivers. I may be wrong though.

To roll back the drivers follow this procedure:

Click Start > Control Panel > Performance and Maintenance* > System > Hardware > Device Manager

* If you do not see Performance and Maintenance listed then just open the System icon instead (click Category View/Classic View to switch between the two modes)

Click on the DIsplay icon and expand it to see the name of the device. Click the graphics card and click Properties. On the Driver tab click ROLL BACK DRIVER.

Follow the on-screen instructions. This should resotre your original Sony drivers so you will be back to square one.

I admit its very poor Sony do nothing about the driver situation especially on such an expensive machine but to be honest I am in the same position along with many others.

You can try as an absolute long-shot to ask Sony for the new drivers updated on a CD and explain that the current drivers are unsatisfactory for your computer. They may send you the drivers on a CD. If you never ask you never know.
