Well, it seems the new Sony Connect Player is crap.

After talking to sony (I have mislaid my disk) it seems that the only way to get another copy is to order it through sony for about £8.50 (expensive for some buggy software).
It is not free like sonic stage and is limited and therefore not sold in shops.
