windows installation incomplete reinstall windows

i get this error, my laptop was playing up had loads of problems with it so i decided to you sony help and it led to reinstalling windows 7 to its original factory settings for local disk C: so i started this and halfway my laptop shut down during installing windows 7 back on, now when you switch it off it shows up an error in which it states "windows installation incomplete reinstall windows again" but gives me no option apart from ok tab when i click that it logs on and restarts and does the same thing again plzzz help me someone

Hi natural26 and welcome.

What model Vaio do you have?

Are you reinstalling the original system using a set of Recovery DVDs or are you using the Hard Drive Recovery?

If you give us a bit more information, perhaps someone may be able to help.

i am using the hard drive recovery which was under the sony help program and it said that it would reset the local disk drive c to its factory settings but stopped after the blue bar completed then asked me to reinstall but now cant access anything on the laptop so don't know how to restart the installation

When you turn the Vaio on, do you see the Vaio Logo screen?

If yes, try tapping F10 to restart the Recovery and choose "Recover Complete System".

Recovery procedures are different for each model - what Vaio Model do you have?

i found the model it's VPCEC1S1E

and yes the the logo of Vaio shows up when turned on

Here is the Troubleshooting and Recovery Guide for your model: -

Go to Page 9 and follow the section for 'Recovering your Computer when you cannot start Windows' and the bit about 'To Recovery your System from the Recovery Partition'

At the Vaio Logo tap F10 repeatedly.

Select 'Recover Complete System' -> 'Skip' -> 'Next'.
