Hi Jarrars,

Sony has not provided updated Win 7 audio drivers for your model so the original Vista driver should work. This can be found under Preinstalled Drivers and Utilities in the original drivers pack at the following link:

http://www.sony.co.uk/support/en/product/VGN-NR11Z_S/updates

Whether this is the driver version you are looking for I am unsure.

The only version I can find is here: -

Are you sure this is the version you want? Later N-Series Vaios (NW-Series) that were released with Windows 7 installed were 64-bit Vaios.

Hi Did you sort your problem out I have a Vaio vgx xl 301 but i cannot get anysound from system i can see it working in device manager there are no conflicts on the computer i use a hdmi lead to connect to tv and in sounds it is set to hdmi can anyone help

The reason Stero Mix disappears in Vista and Windows 7 has NOTHING to do with sound drivers at all.

Because this problem only happens to CERTAIN BRAND of LAPTOPS only..

This is because these BRANDS such as DELL, VAIO, ACER, etc.have signed an AGREEMENT with.The Music Recording Industry to TAKE STREO MIX off windows Vista and 7..

That 's why you would find that other PC laptops BRANDS such as Fujitsu, Toshiba, ASUS etc.... Stereo MIX is still functioning well in Vista and Windows 7..
