Upgrade from Vista to Windows 7 - offer from Sony

Back in July 2009 I purchased a Sony Vaio VGNNS20J/S which came with Windows Vista. At the time Sony had an offer on that meant it was possible to upgrade to Windows 7 - at the time I didn't take up this offer, but now I am thinking of upgrading. Would there be any chance of getting a copy of Windows 7 via Sony - I have the date of purchase/serial number of laptop and everything else.

I know it's a long shot but thought it was worth asking here...!

Hi quercus and welcome.

Bad News! To qualify for the free upgrade, you would have to have applied before 31 January 2010 and Microsoft set the final date to receive the update as 31 March 2010.

You are a tad late!
