hi, got a big problem: i can´t upgrade the nvidia drivers on my vgx 201(still have the out of the box drivers on it).
i downloaded forceware 162.18, uninstalled the current nvidia driver and media center extensions. but when i install the new driver it gives me a blue screen/critical error(the file nv4disp.dll is mentioned) after about 50% completion, then windows is rebooted.
after restarting i can´t open the nvidia settings in control panel and in the nview program it says i have different driver versions installed(some new stuff is there with some old files).

help?!

I don't think the modified INF is going to help you. This is for laptop or OEM custom video cards. The card in the VGX-XL201 is a 7600 GTL and as such is supported with nVidia's standard driver releases.

It might be worth trying a driver cleaner type program as it does sound like you have ended up with a mixture driver versions.

well, just tried to install with a modded inf and the "have disk" method but i still get the same bsod.

gonna try a drivercleaner as suggested next...
