Sony VA1 desktop..card reader failed

Since downloading Sony updates my card reader has stopped working. Every time I boot up I get 'Found new hardware DFU 0.4.0.0' I cannot find any software for this, I have installed latest updates from Sony but this does not help. Has anyone out there had this problem?Any help appreciated Thanks

Welcome to the club
Check your firewall exceptions have accepted the update otherwise do a system restore to a time before the update

Thanks for the reply, it looks as though my firewall can accept Sony also I have tried system restore to no avail
