Hi shinglewood,

Yes you can upgrade to 64Bit OS by purchasing a retail copy of Windows.

Downside is that virtually all drivers and utilities released by Sony seem to be 32Bit only so in order to have a fully functioning notebook you will need to source 64Bit drivers from the manufacturer of individual devices. Even then you may not be able to get the Fn keys and other Sony utilities to function. You will also lose the pre installed software as most of this in not available to download.

http://www.sony.co.uk/support/en/product/VGN-TT11WN_B/updates

Rich
