Hi Deeko ans welcome.

You need to install a WDDM nVidia Graphics driver. Windows 7 has installed a generic VGA driver by default.

It doesn't look like Sony provide one so go to this site: -

http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/drivers/vista/176.37

and download and install Version 176.37 - not another one as it will not install - scroll down the page and choose 'Click here to download driver and INF files' The details of the driver seem to be missing but you can still download the driver.

Install by running the Setup file.

Hi, I have a VGC-V2M and have recently upgraded to Windows 7. All went fine but I have a black bar running down the both sides of my screen. I have tried to change the screen resolution but windows only gives me two options, 1024x768 and 800x600. The device manager tells me that a have a 'NON-PnP MONITOR ON STANDARD VGA GRAPHICS ADAPTER'. It also is telling me that the drivers are up to date and are working correctly. I have fairly basic computer knowlege and I am new to asking for help on forums, so forgive me if I have not given enough info.

Thanks
