I GOT A PROBLEM!

My charger works perfectly but the charging input to the computer is not working...

i was wondering how much it would cost to get it done, it cost 90 dollars just to get the pc checked.

and if the price is too high maybe it is just easier to buy a new pc, my pc is 2 years old and i dont want to waste 90 dollars ..

plz help!

Hi Soelvsten,

There could be a number of reasons why the battery is not charging. You seem to think that the charger is working correctly, so leaving that aside, it could be a power board problem, a battery failure or a glitch that requires the battery to be reset.

Some models have a battery reset button on the underside of the notebook but as you have not given us the product model number we cannot say whether this is applicable.

You could try shutting down, remove power supply and battery, and then hold down the power button for 30 seconds. Reattach battery and power adaptor and re-boot.

Reading the manual for this model I can’t see any mention of a battery reset button.

Have you tried the suggestion in the last paragraph of my previous post? If that fails to make a difference I suggest you contact an independent repairer that will hopefully offer a ‘no fix no charge’ service.

I have had issues with power boards in the past and the cost of repair, including collection and return, was approx. £120. There are plenty of such repairers in the UK but I’m unsure of whether this is the case in Denmark – try a Google...
