Does anyone know how to amend the amount of graphics memory used by the laptop - the apparently 16Mb graphics memory (on chip) can't be enough to run!!
Also, I get black video only on a video projector using Powerpoint 2003 (will display on the Vaio screen ok, but not on projector) so have to toggle the display to external display only. Any clues as to how to avoid this (e.g. increase video memory!!?)

ati mobility, sounds like vram..hence dedicated video memory which therefore can a) not be upgraded b) not have its memory changed.

however, i may be wrong as im not familiar with older gfx cards. If its one of ati's integrated solutions, providing u have a suitible amount of ram, u can change the memory config of the gfx card in the bios (press F2 at startup)...however, i cant imagine that simply having a gig of ram, will allow u do increase the video memory to a wopping 128mb or something as im sure the gfx will not support it

however ~ im not too sure...ive heard or doom3 beta working on a ati mob 7500 32mb
