Volume & Mute HotKeys not working

Just recently my Volume & Mute HotKeys don't seem to be working.

I get the on screen volume meter when I press the buttons, but there is no change in the volume even when I press mute, it doesn't actually mute it (see image below) and only way to change the volume is to go into the Control Panel and use the Volume Control.

Any ideas how to get my HotKeys working again?

is it only the volume hotkeys that are not working? or all of them..

cause in c:\ drivers, u should find the drivers for the hotkeys so u can re-install them. This should get them working.

Any idea which one of these is the HotKey driver?

The other HotKeys like standby, zoom, switch to LCD/Monitor and screen brightness are working fine, its just the volume keys that aren't working.

I have tried reinstalling "Audio_sigmaTel" but this hasn't made any difference.

SonyNoteCtrl and SonyPI might need a reinstall.

I finally managed to get the HotKeys working again, yay! I had to download a different version from: ftp://ftp.vaio-link.com/PUB/Vaio/Hotkey/HKD_Sny_3204101.exe as none of the drivers on my laptop worked!
