Problems with C1VE and Windows XP

Hello,

i bought a C1VE Picturebokk at EBay. I used the original Sony CDs and recovered the System. Everything worked fine

Then i wanted to install Windows XP. The Installation works fine. I downloaded the Drivers from www.vaio-link.com.

Now i have some problems:
- the JogDial will not work
- the FuNction Keys will not work eather
- and the Cardbus is not working with WLan Cards

Can someone help me?

Make sure you install the Sony shared libraries and you have the latest drivers for your WLAN card.

this is how i tried:
1. installed Windows XP Home Edition
2. Utilities DLL
3 Shared DLL
4. Notebook Setup
5. Jog Dial
6. Hot Key
7. Motion Eye

then the JogDial and the Function Keys were working
but not the Cardbus, this works only with the Sony CDRom

I tried the same with Windows XP Professional.
With this OS none of the Sony Software works, JogDial, HotKeys and so on.

Can you explain me why?

And i have another question:
Where can i find a PowerPanel version which works with XP Home?
How can i make the CardBus to work?

Sounds to me that you might have the wrong type of card for your WLAN, as the CD-ROM is working fine.

Powerpannel should work for both Pro and Home, there's no difference.

I only have a Power Panel version vor windows 2000.
Where can i download one for XP?

My WiFi Card is working fine on my Toshiba. The Problem is, that the CardBus is not working with CardBus type Ii cards. I do not know why. 16 bit cards are working., linke the cdrom.
are there drivers?

Maybe the C series only supports older cardbus cards?

www.vaio-link.com is the place to get utils like that.

the C1VE supports newer cards with windows ME, which it was shipped with.
but i need windows XP so i can work on the wlan at the university, because they are using 802.1x.

so i have a big dilema.

there are no cardbus drivers for xp on vaio-link.com
i downloaded some for the C1VN from another site but they are not working. thaught they are the same?
