Viewing Vaio Via A T.V

Hi, I have a K315s Laptop. I am able to view the screen via a TV but not a DVD - the DVD application is blank on the TV but plays on the laptop. What settings do I need to apply?

Press Fn and F7 until it says 'TV only' or, if you want both screens on together, go to your display settings, then the ATi control panel, go to clone mode options and click theatre mode

Under which TAB is the clone mode option?

Ah sorry, i should have made that clearer
Its under the Advanced button in display properties, click the ATi Overlay tab, then clone mode options and play with those til u get a setting that suits your needs.

The reason it doesn't work is because the DVD player is using the hardware video overlay and this can only be displayed on that model on one display at a time. You therefore need to ensure that the display that is to be used for DVD viewing is set as the 'Primary display device'.
