vaio going nuts! can anyone help?

I have a vaio FR315B laptop, and its been ok until yesterday I switched it on and there was a really load beeping sound while booting up. then when I was on the desktop the cursor started to drag down and to the right all the time? I managed to get onto the net but it was just dragging all the pages to the bottom.
Its driving me mad! So I rebboted to factory settings thinking this may help.....but it never.
It would be much appriciated if anyone could help with this matter or anyone had the same problem. I also thought is my touch pad or something on its way out, but Ive only had it about 18 month?

So your computer is running for 18 months now? Or is it a fresh installation? Otherwise Have you already thought about a cleanup of Windows Xp? I mean spyware & such crap.

yeah ive ran spyware program and antivirus program. still nothing?
what would cause loud bleeping alarm at boot up?...it goes on for about 15 secs....then when on desktop or internet it just jumps about , wont let me scroll back up.

How many beeps? If the motherboard beeps, then the motherboard is crying for help.

The touchpad might have a loose connection, hence why it's beeping.
