VGN-S28GP RAM Upgrade?

Hi, I've been looking at RAM upgrades for my notebook and found that Sony sells them expensive... can I use other makes? I suppose they are the same as long as it is 172-pin DDR333 PC2700 MicroDIMM? I had a look on google and many places say the Kingston U6464C250 (manu code PC-MK7517) would work with the S28GP, any comments? Thanks!

Hi Joolz

Kingston are a great make, and so are Crucial. A lot of people on the board use both their memory.

You know that Sony RAM is rebranded Samsung RAM?

As you are in UK have a look at Crucial - very good service too. Their wizard makes finding the correct memory simple.

Nah that's not what I mean.

What I mean is, if you want stop with you work, you can switch in the hibernate modus. And next day if you switch the Computer on, then you can work further at this part where you have stoped the work.
