S3XP hot, very hot

Is it normal S3XP runs very hot, especially the right-hand side, both bottom and under palm-rest? What range is normal? How to tell if the temperature is ok or something wrong?

What kind of material was used for the case?

p.s. I can't find the following software in the App Recovery disc, so suppose I need to re-install one, do I need to do it by doing Sys recovery?

Hi there.

Check to make sure there isn't a build up of dust on your fans. There's an article about overheating here.

Here's a link to some software you can use to monitor the temperature of your CPU.

They're known to get hot, and Sony say it's normal

Those programs should be on your recovery DVD

I borrowed an S3XP for a couple of weeks and could practically light a cigarette from the heat given off. Sony said that one was normal too

They should make a dry ice port for it. And the FS.
