Heat problem?

Hi people, could somebody help me please. My vaio PCG-Z1RMP is freezing when the CPU ventilator starts working only solution at this time is to turn off. After 10 minutes I start it again and work for a while and it's happens again and again and again. Service said, LCD is the reason, I can belive that. Do you, have another explanation. Thanx for reply.

This is resembling a problem of Hardware. Did you contact the e-support?

Thank you for greetings and recommendation for mobmeter, in my first post i've writen "can belive that" of course I mean "cannot belive that" it was my mistake, sorry. Results are: freez at 41 degrees Celsius and tempertur don't rise above 55. But for all that if the ventilator starts working, notebook don't respons.

I have no idea, I guess it could be a bad install of Windows or a peripheral you use with the VAIO

mmmh, is there any critical error message after reboot?
Do you have this problem if the laptop unused too?

There are no error messages it just freez and cursor disappears.
If I don't move a mouse the problem exists also.It was manufactured in 2003, one year guarantee and costs 2000 euro, Win XP Pro is involved.
I am a bit disappointed, you can imagine.

One more question, if I try to reinstal Win XP on my Vaio can I use existing "Driver " folder and reinstal all components that I have now ?
Anyone with experience out there?

I have reinstaled all and the problem still exists, but I think it could be ACPI controller because all devices had IRQ 09. ACPI to, and my graphics adapter. This time I got error messages mentioned with graphics adapter. Can I make manuall IRQ placing and if yes how?
Win XP Pro.

Some Bois will allow you to assign IRQ¿s but this usually involves disabling ACPI which is a minefield on its own as this will completely remove the device and driver configuration from the computer. After the operating system receives new assignments from the BIOS it will re-detect all plug and play devices and hopefully install drivers for them. Apparently ACPI can be disabled in Device Manager but I have never found an option for it and even if I did I wouldn¿t do it.
Before doing anything rash it may be worth re-setting your BIOS to the defaults and then try a re-install.

I did it but without success, Graphics adapter still causes problems and IRQ reservation is the same like under ACPI. Yes and I have loaded default settings in BIOS and there is nothing to found about ACPI. I can just adjust Clock and LCD screen wideness. But thank you anyway.
One thing further, in securedmode runs without troubles.

If everything runs smoothly in `Safe Mode¿ it is likely to be a device or driver that is causing the problem. Narrowing this down will not be easy but try this; in Safe mode, disable the display adaptor and restart normally. If everything is OK then at least you known that it is the cause of your problem. If, after that, the problem persists then disable every device that you can (including System Devices) in Device Manager, restart normally to confirm that everything is OK and then re-enable each device in turn followed by a re-start. Hopefully, by elimination, you will eventually find the cause of the problem.
