FS 215 Series?

Hi,

does anybody know if the problems like the humming display sound and breaking display hatches with the first FS115-Series have been fixed with the FS215 Series? My girlfriend wants to buy a FS215 but since she knows about the trouble I am having with my FS115 she is a littlebit worried although we both like the FS-Series very much (why only did Sony produce it in china!??!?) and there isn´t any alternative out there anyway (we both need the geforce 6 capabilities).

So any experiences with the FS215 Series yet?

I would assume the FS2 series would be the solution to the problems with FS1's, but you'll have to ask Sony about that, although they may deny any problems with the original FS1.

Hi,

I have the 215M and the problem with the humming display sound isn't fixed. Only Sony will know why! 😞
I don't know if the display hatches are fixed. Till now they are are not broken.

Has Sony even an idea how to fix this? They were supposed to pick my notebook up for repair today (they didn´t manage to do this - just a hint: never open up 2 support cases. Sony won´t manage to get those things together) and I am slowly wondering, if they even can fix it.

So, does anybody have any experience with that?

At the moment I think they haven't fixed it.

Hi,

Sony wants to repair my 115M. I told them that I have now a 215M with the same problem. They asked the european Center in Belgium, if they can repair a 215 as a 115. Today I get the answer: At this moment they can not repair my 215M because they did not have the hardware to solve the problem. 😞

So I must wait until they can repair it....

My PC is PCG-K215S I don't have any humming display sounds but I know that the processor is noisy

I feel as if I am on a plane every time I start it up and it heats up very quickly:smileysad:
