hI guys

I have my Fr415s almost a year and i am thinking to clean the fans as the noise is getting very loud. i try in the past with air dust but not much happend. i am thinking to open my laptop and wonder if somebody have done it before for some guides.

Sorry yann, I have instructions for the disassembly of most Vaio notebooks but have had no luck finding any guidance for the FR series.

The best that I can offer is a link to Nexttronics that has schematic diagrams for that series but not your particular model.

An alternative to opening the notebook is to buy a can of compressed air and use this on the vents to clear dust. Do not get too close with this as you could over spin and damage the fans.

If the fan blade is visible through the vent then see whether you can insert something to hold the fan still, while using the compressed air.

i have the same model and i use a hover. i don't seem to have had major problems in fan noise and mine is nearly 2 years old.

also opening your laptop when you don't know what you are doing can void any warranty you may have.
