Hi,

I believe its perfectly "legal".

Sony did have a dire warning about using Third Party Batteries in their laptops citing serious potential problems on this website last time I looked..

However Companies and outlets exist successfully selling them.

When the time comes I will be buying a Third Party Battery solely because of the cost factor and the potential savings..

I won't deliberately choose the absolute cheapest but I will look for a Company that specialises in selling replacement batteries and gives some sort of guarantee.

This thread may even throw up a few places to buy from satisfied 3rd Party Battery users.

I hope this is a "legal" question....
Due to the expensive cost of the original battery... somebody have tryed a compatible one? is it 100% compatible? damage the notebook? Have the same duration? I'm looking for a VGPBPL2 compatible or only a VGPBPS2 compatible 🙂

thanx
Cucca
