Volume Control doesn't work

Hello
Well it's not a good start to the community but i have serious problems.
Well, I'm the proud owner of a vaio VGN-A517M everything is working so far except the volume control.
It was working once so i know it has to, but now it doesn't control the system volume.
Well, i'll try to give an example: When I put the volume down with these buttons the Beep(Which is produced when you click them) becomes quieter but the system volume doesn't change a bit.

I think there's something wrong with the drivers for these buttons. Yes I downloaded them from vaio-link and reinstalled them but that didn't help either. I hope there's a way to make them working again.

Re-installing the utilities should cure this problem, if not there maybe a hardware fault:smileysad:

I don't think it's a hardware fault because the beep sound does react. Hmmm... I'll install the drivers again and let you know how it works.

I've just realized that's working again. Strange, after the first restart it didn't work. But after the second restart it seems to work.
