7RM4 firmware update

I am running Big Sur 11.0 beta on my iMac but I can't get the Sony Update to Firmware 1.2 to work. Has anyone else found this problem? Is there a solution other than to wait for Sony to update their update software?

Hi,

Most likely you have to wait until the firmware has been updated or you might want to use a different computer to update your camera.

I do not have access to another computer. Can you tell me when the firmware update program is likely to work with Apple ‘Big Sur’?

I have the same problem and in the meantime it’s 2 years later. It doesn’t work on my Mac (even with the patch) and it doesn’t work with a borrowed Windows laptop. I keep getting the message ‘can’t connect with the computer’. And yes, the usb connection is set on ‘storage’

Hi Popshop, I'm so sorry for you! Is it the same camera? Did you make sure that you're using a compatible OS? Which version are you on?
