Problem with Mac OS Ventura Mac Silicon M1Max and Camera Driver and Lens Update for SEL 24-105

Looking to update the firmware on my newly purchased SEL 24105G from ver 01 to 02.

The camera is detected by by Lens Updater but unable to progress to the next stage. In addition if the lens updater is open Safari goes into meltdown.

Anyone have any the same issue and a solution?

Which is the camera you are using?

Check if it’s listed as non compatible https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/articles/00261559

The camera if updated to the last fw?

have you closed any other app before to start the process?

Sorry forgot to say - doh! A7MKIV The camera is updated to the latest firmware. Yes have closed other apps

I have the A7iv to, but I’ve not any lens to update to check. 😣

The story between sony’s update software and macintosh is a fight from very long time (the reason why I have exulted at first SD firmware update).

I hope someone of support staff can help you

Thanks hopefully support will have a solution. I suspect its a Mac issue with Ventura and the M1 chipset
