NW-35A use of bluetooth in Honda Jazz

Have had this unit given for Christmas but find that whilst I can use the bluetooth to several speakers & a headphone I cannot pair with my Honda Jazz system. It sees the Jazz ok as Honda HFT but won't pair. Anyone out there got any ideas if it can be done.

Also how can I check if I have the latest operating system updates?

Do you have the NW-A35 Walkman with High-Resolution Audio? You can view the most recent firmware updates here.
