Content Transfer Compatibility with Mac 'Music' app

Hi everyone,

I posted another thread a few months ago about moving playlists over to a Walkman without Content Transfer on Mac. To my surprise, I saw that Content Transfer had been updated recently. I found that I could indeed open the app again on my Mac that runs Catalina, but it will not allow me transfer anything over via CT as my 'Itunes is not supported'.

Obviously, Apple merged itunes into their new 'Music' app, so I'm at a loss at how I'll be able to move my playlists over. As stated in my previous thread, I'm aware that you can use Finder to move over music, but you can only use CT to move over playlists.

Does anyone have a solution for this? Sony Support were not helpful on this!

As far as I know, you can also transfer playlist files if they are in a supported format (.m3u) via Finder. Just make sure to put the playlist file in the same folder as the tracks contained in that playlist.

However, I found another way around it. I had to reinstall iTunes, as outlined in this video. It works and I can FINALLY move playlists from my Mac onto my Walkman. It's been about a year since I've been able to do this, so very happy!
