Could you tell us more about the setup you have and whether you're referring to the Sony CDP-M48 or a different model?

It is the cdp m48 which is part of a hifi “tower” system with turntable, tape deck, tuner and amp.

I've managed to find the exact specs -which was not easy- here: https://www.radiomuseum.org/r/sony_compact_disc_player_cdp_m48.html

Unfortunately, since I don't own one myself, I can't say they are exactly accurate, but even within a ballpark they'll be useful in finding a replacement since you already know that this model is compatible, any other CD player with similar or higher specs should work.
