I found that when the Z5C is running into a plug combiner, the audio line probably hasn't got filters to prevent interference. I was using a normal dual channel audio cable, and not the combined microphone and audio cable.

I think the internals must be able to detect 4 pole and 3 pole plugs
Is this normal behaviour?
https://youtu.be/7NuEihfa7bs
I can't remember if it was doing that when it was new.

I already got it repaired, they replace the audio port but it didn't really do anything. Still doing the same thing. Anyone else have the same behaviour?

Mine does the same. Annoying, but it always works in the end.

I was fiddling around with this stuff, trying to work out what I can and can't use.
What's the behavior like when you have the device charging and insert that plug?

Thanks for the reply Neobeum. I just tried it and it's behaving the same.

When I got it repaired, the first time I plugged it to my stereo, it was fine.. But after that it behaved the same again haha

@Danliliehorn
My phone has still got some warranty so im wondering if I should get it repaired again. The service center slightly damaged my screen as well upon replacing the audio port. They managed to scratch the screen from the inside. So Im wondering if I should claim that

I'm sort of confused about what you said...although, I think the device looks for impedance on the connector to detect if theres something connected. I forgot to mention it but, it detects headphones fine.

But once you plug it to a high impedance input e.g. amplifier, car stereo, it hesitates as seen on the video.

And if you have a 4 point jack with cut wires like on my video, theres no way of detecting it.
