Download icon Multiplying after Nougat

Since update to Nougat a few hours ago, each time I restart my Z5 a new Download icon appears (yes, seven icons right now). Anyone has idea how to proceed, avoiding to reset the phone?

It's issue of Xperia Home launcher (are u in beta testing?). According moderators in Xperia Home community it'll be fixed in next update.

Bit of an odd one, and not as serious as some of the other problems people are having, but my app menu now shows "contacts, downloads, downloads, downloads, drive". Attempting to delete any of the icons returns "this app cannot be uninstalled or disabled"

Anyone have any ideas how to fix?

I had the same issue, found a fix for it: Clear data for Xperia Home launcher.

Downside is that it resets the Home screen so you have to put back all your apps and widgets.

To reset: go to Settings -> Apps -> Tap on additional options (three dots icon on the right top corner) -> Show system -> Scroll down and tap Xperia Home -> Storage -> CLEAR DATA

As mentioned, it worked for me, maybe it'll work for you too.

Thanks, this has resolve the multiplying icon problem for now, hopefully the patch to fix it will be available soon!

Duplicate Apps

Hey,
This is happening since i upgrade to Android N... It´s really annoying. The only fix is uninstall and installing but it´s not the first time. The first time it was with different apps

Any solutions?

@diogosimoes4321 Tap longer on the home screen, tap the cogwheel and scroll down to icons on home screen (check the option, it should not allow duplicates).

I have the option selected , it doesn't allow duplicates icons. And the option is only for home screen. Not apps drawer 😕

Every time after I updated my apps.

There will be two same icons on my phone.

Is there has any solutions to avoid this weird thing?

I hope after my every updating, I don't have to remove the superfluous app.
