Camera button not working

The button to switch my camera from back facing to front facing is not working. It is still there but is not sensitive to touch. The other options in camera still work. Ideally I would like to fix this issue, but realistically would be happy to find some other way to switch the camera. I can't find it in settings. Is there any way i can switch in settings, or move the icons around to see if it works somewhere else on my screen?

settings > about phone > diagnostics > test > test the touchscreen

does the phone has a protective case or film?

Hi @RunKopiRun, sorry to hear about your phone.

In addition to what @uliwooly suggested, could you try and see if you can start both of the camera in the inbuilt test in the phone? You can find the test in Settings > About phone > Diagnostics > Test > Front camera/Camera.

If both works fine in the test, try resetting the camera application (this will not delete any photos or videos, it will however reset any settings that you have previously done in the Camera application. To reset the app, go to Settings > Apps > Camera > Storage > Clear data > OK.
