z2 stuck/frozen on start up

I was using my phone this morning when it froze so after a couple of minutes I did a soft reset now my screen only has
SONY
XPERIA
on it.
Don'tknow how much power it has but less than 50%.

Hi @awcobbler and welcome to the forum!

By soft reset, do you mean forcing the phone to turn off using the power + volume up button or by pressing and holding the OFF-button by the SIM-card? If not I suggest that you try that.

If the above does not help then I recommend that you, as @nolramlb mentioned, perform the software repair using Xperia Companion.

I tried all of the reset options power and up, power and down and the red button by the charge port. I have an old phone in my work bag in case I break this one so just put the sim card in that and after about 45 minutes it just turned on so not sure what was wrong but it's working now
